- Effective July 1st, 2025, the minimum wage increased to $13.00 per hour
Other wage and hour provisions:
- School bus drivers must earn at least twice the state minimum wage
- Overtime is required after 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week, at a rate of time-and-a-half the employee's normal wage
- Sick leave is required starting July 1st, 2025:
- 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked
- 40 or 56 hours annual accrual, depending on employer size
- Applies even if no doctor's note is submitted for short absences
