  • Effective July 1st, 2025, the minimum wage increased to $13.00 per hour

  • School bus drivers must earn at least twice the state minimum wage
  • Overtime is required after 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week, at a rate of time-and-a-half the employee's normal wage
  • Sick leave is required starting July 1st, 2025:
    • 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked
    • 40 or 56 hours annual accrual, depending on employer size
    • Applies even if no doctor's note is submitted for short absences
