Earlier this month, the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner issued an updated version of its Job Training Programs poster, which is required for display in the workplace. The latest notice revision includes updates to specific links already included on the poster. The Office of the Labor Commissioner, a state agency housed within the Nevada Department of Business and Industry, has also updated a date included on the notice to satisfy quarterly reporting requirements under Nevada Assembly Bill (AB) 307.
What Was AB 307?
AB 307 was passed during the 2021 Nevada Legislative Session. Effective on October 1st, 2021, the bill amended Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), section 232, to add a new paragraph stating that the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) must prepare one or more notices concerning job training or employment programs conducted by the DETR, including, without limitation, the Career Enhancement Program and EmployNV Business/Career Hubs. This notice must be sent to the Labor Commissioner within 30 days following the end of each calendar quarter (October 1, January 1, April 1, and July 1). The Labor Commissioner will then make the poster available to all employers in Nevada for them to post in their workplaces.
What Changed on the Job Training Programs Poster?
Generally, as mentioned, the most recent updates to the notice included updates to program links and the date that verifies compliance. Specifically, the provider links for the Employ Nevada Business Career Hub and Migrant Seasonal Farm Workers programs were updated. Additionally, above the Employment and Training Programs section on the notice, the final line has been edited to now include the date “October 1, 2025.”
Employer Responsibilities
All Nevada employers are required to post the revised Job Training Programs notice in a conspicuous location accessible during the workday. The updated notice reflects mandatory changes to labor law. Due to that fact, employers must replace the previous version of the poster, which stated “This Notice fulfills DETR’s July 1, 2025, required reporting,” with the latest poster, which now states the “October 1, 2025” date.
Labor Law Posters Online now offers the most recent version of the Nevada State & Federal Labor Law Poster, including all 2025 updates issued by the Office of the Labor Commissioner. Subscription customers will receive the revised poster automatically as part of their annual compliance service.
